Mary Monro BSc (Hons) Ost, MSCC, MSc PO

Award Winning Osteopath

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the governing body of osteopaths in the UK, upholding standards of training and professionalism. I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy as a mature student in 1999, winning the Silver Medal for being the best student in my year. In 2001 my undergraduate dissertation, “Patient Priorities in Osteopathic Care” was published in the British Osteopathic Journal (vol XXIII, p7-14). In 2006 I started teaching post-graduate cranial osteopathy with the Sutherland Cranial College (SCC). I regularly attend international osteopathic conferences and courses and have recently completed an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy in London.

Since graduating I have devoted a lot of time to my professional development, focusing particularly on cranial osteopathy, including the care of children, pregnant women. I have now completed a 250 hour course of study and have been awarded Membership of the Sutherland Cranial College (MSCC). I also have expertise in the management of whiplash injury. Many of my patients suffer long-term conditions which interfere with their enjoyment of life and it is rewarding to enable them to carry on working, playing, gardening or whatever, by offering regular maintenance treatment.

I am a member of the British Osteopathic Association, the Sutherland Cranial College and the Sutherland Society. I am also a member of the Marketing Sub-Committee of the SCC.
