Award Winning Osteopath
I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the governing body of osteopaths in the UK, upholding standards of training and professionalism. I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy as a mature student in 1999, winning the Silver Medal for being the best student in my year. In 2001 my undergraduate dissertation, “Patient Priorities in Osteopathic Care” was published in the British Osteopathic Journal (vol XXIII, p7-14). In 2016 I became a Trustee of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (SCCO). In 2017 I had an article published in the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine about evidence and cranial osteopathy. I also had an article titled “Hearts and Minds – the Mystery of Consciousness” published on a philosophy blog.
Since graduating I have devoted a lot of time to my professional development, focusing particularly on cranial osteopathy, including the care of children and pregnant women. I have completed a 250 hour course of study and have been awarded Fellowship of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (FSCCO). I regularly attend international osteopathic conferences and courses and in 2009 completed an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy in London. In 2018 I gained a Level 2 Safeguarding Children qualification.
I am a member of the Institue of Osteopathy, the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy , the Association of Animal Osteopaths, the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners and the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).
