Stress Related Pain
Stress manifests itself in the physical body. 
If you think of something as simple as a blush, what is it but a physical response to an emotional stimulus? Think of more significant and long lasting emotional stimuli e.g. stress at work, money worries or relationship difficulties, and you will understand that the physical effects of these might be larger and more enduring.
If you can't recall any injury that set off your symptoms, consider what is happening in your life at the moment. Is your body trying to tell you something?
